Under Armour is heading for good times

Under Armour's future is looking bright! The company has just announced a 68 % jump in the first quarter profits and the share price if on the up.

I am not surprised that the company is doing so well. In my view, their products are superior to other in the same price class. They look trendy, come in different fittings, styles and colours, they wash well - but most importantly they do whey say they are going to e.g. they have a fantastic wicking qualities. The Heatgear is keeping you cool when it's hot, and Coldgear does the reverse when it's cold.

Once I bought my first bit of Under Armour stuff - easy enough online - I have never looked back. And I recommend it everyone who is looking for good quality gear at affordable prices.

Under Armour Heatgear now selling like hotcakes!

Under Armour Brand
With the nice weather, unsurprisingly - Under Armour Heatgear sales are on the up.

The excellent qualities of the Under Armour technical sportswear - that keep you cool when it's hot - is the answer to the prayers for everyone out training when the weather gets hot. Gone are the days when the tshirt got soaking wet as soon as you started your run, football training or a game of golf. The wicking qualities of the materials used have been specially developed to help you maximise your performance.

This gear comes with a price tag, but they look good and wash well. They also keep well, so if you got kids out there wearing this gear to keep them comfortable, don't worry when they grow out it. You can pass them on without any worries to be worn a second time around. Under Armour is such a desirable brand now that kids will not mind even if it's not brand new. You can pass them on to your kids to wear under their training tops, or give them to the charity shops - I can guarantee you that they will not sit on the shelves very long.

Under Armour Tee
The kit can be found both as short and long sleeve tops, tops with a turtle or crew neck, with or without quarter or full zip, shorts and leggings as well as hats, caps, gloves, underwear - so pretty much as anything you would wear to keep both cool, and warm as there is also the Coldgear option for the winter months.

Also available in many colours and cut in loose, fitted or compression for men, women and junior sizes.

Under Armour fast becoming the top brand for performance gear

A year ago, very few of us had heard about Under Armour sports brand and most of us would not have called base layers by names like ColdGear and Heatgear! But how things have changed in the last year...

This is now becoming the number one preferred brand by sportsmen, women and teams. And you know that's it's the brand to be seen in when teenagers are insisting on wearing it.

Who are they? Under Armour gear comes from America where they are well known for their well fitting, moisture wicking clothing designed to be worn under sportswear. The company was founded in 1996 by Kevin Plank, an America football player who invented the product to wear in stead of sweat soaked T-shirts. The company is now a supplier of a range of sportswear and other sports stuff such as footwear, headgear and mouth gear and the company continues to expand its offerings. Their products are now widely available, not just in the US but in the UK, Europe and elsewhere all over the world.

The gear is really good but it does not come cheap. You will pay over £20 for a short sleeve T-shirt and a long sleeve one can cost anything up to £40. What's fabulous though is that you can choose your preferred fit from loose to tight depending what you preference is.

There is a good choice of products for men, women and children and they come in various colours too. They may come across as expensive, but they are so durable that in the long run, you will get your moneys worth from your Under Armour gear.

Where Nike and Adidas used to have almost a monopoly on high profile sponsorships, there are now several sports teams in the UK sponsored by Under Armour such as the Welsh Rugby team, and now Tottenham Hotspurs football team being the latest to announce their shirt deal with Under Armour.

Under Armour Heatgear - great for skiing...

I'm just back from my annual skiing holiday. This year we went to the Dolomites in Italy and stayed in a charming small town called Arabba with a fantastic access to a vast ski area including the famous Stella Ronda.

I didn't need to buy that much performance gear as over the years I have accummulated a perfect bag ful of base layers and other ski gear that serve me well. However, there was one surprise in my kit bag! I had by mistake taken some Under Armour Heatgear with me - you know the stuff that you wear when it's hot and you want to keep cool. Anyway, I had to put it on the last day of skiing, and to my absolute surprise it was the best base layer I could have wished for. We skied hard that day, the last day of our holiday! Normally, I would have been so hot, but the Heatgear kept me cool and confortable the whole day.

From now on, I am going to pack a few of those in my kitbag to go with all the other useful stuff like socks, gloves, neck warmers, hankies, suntan lotion, camera, sunglasses, goggles etc.
